[ET Net News Agency, 24 June 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$175.56 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.8 billion, or 19.82% of the market's turnover. There were 828 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.27 billion and HK$3.18 billion, or 20.9% and 9.15% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 50.64% and 56.4% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and SMIC (00981) registered HK$2.93 billion and HK$1.63 billion of short sales, accounting for 8.41% and 4.68% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 48.12% and 13.78% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHYNIX closed down HK$5.8, or 4.03%, to HK$138. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.04, or 0.17%, to HK$23.74. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.06, or 1.39% to HK$4.374. SMIC jumped HK$6.55, or 8.41%, to HK$84.4.
