[ET Net News Agency, 2 July 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$213.39 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.73 billion, or 20.49% of the market's turnover. There were 850 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.25 billion and HK$5.12 billion, or 14.3% and 11.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 58.9% and 34.29% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.88 billion and HK$1.52 billion of short sales, accounting for 6.58% and 3.47% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 27.09% and 15.13% of respective stock's turnover.
