billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.03 billion, or 16.85% of the market's
turnover. There were 658 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.27 billion and HK$699.92 million, or
20.39% and 4.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
45.62% and 15.47% of respective stock's turnover.
ICBC (01398) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$515.35 million and HK$463.39 million of
short sales, accounting for 3.22% and 2.89% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 28.22% and 9.38% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.04, or 0.22%, to HK$18.47. TENCENT ended flat, to HK$382.
ICBC rose HK$0.04, or 0.87% to HK$4.62. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.28, or 0.42%, to HK$66.3.
