HK$124.29 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.47 billion, or 18.08% of the
market's turnover. There were 655 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.57 billion and HK$3.22
billion, or 24.79% and 14.32% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 40.52% and 58.55% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.38 billion and HK$562.25 million of
short sales, accounting for 6.15% and 2.5% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.69% and 11.08% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.01, or 0.05%, to HK$18.95. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.24, or
0.37%, to HK$65.32. BABA-W fell HK$0.45, or 0.52% to HK$86.75. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$3.1, or 2.28%, to HK$132.8.
