HK$141.09 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.13 billion, or 14.98% of the
market's turnover. There were 677 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.17 billion and HK$1.13 billion, or
5.55% and 5.36% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
19.42% and 13.59% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.05 billion and HK$935.57
million of short sales, accounting for 4.97% and 4.43% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 22.65% and 12.38% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$0.9, or 1.03%, to HK$86.3. TENCENT ended up HK$3.2, or 0.8%, to
HK$404.2. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.8, or 2.86% to HK$28.8. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.16, or
0.82%, to HK$19.71.
