[ET Net News Agency, 20 January 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$129.84 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.7 billion, or 12.86% of the
market's turnover. There were 755 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.9 billion and HK$1.94
billion, or 17.36% and 11.62% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 44.13% and 35.27% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$1.36 billion and HK$659.86 million
of short sales, accounting for 8.18% and 3.95% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 31.16% and 15.54% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.035, or 0.62%, to HK$5.595. TRACKER FUND ended flat, to
HK$26.76. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.04, or 0.04% to HK$93.52. POP MART jumped HK$15.3, or 8.46%,
to HK$196.1.
