[ET Net News Agency, 26 January 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$151.05 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.53 billion, or 13.59% of the
market's turnover. There were 785 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.99 billion and HK$1.05
billion, or 9.68% and 5.13% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 34.93% and 33.75% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$826.11 million and HK$801.63
million of short sales, accounting for 4.02% and 3.9% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.37% and 27.54% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$0.16, or 0.17%, to HK$93.78. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.07,
or 1.23%, to HK$5.6. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.04, or 0.15% to HK$27. POP MART jumped HK$0.2,
or 0.09%, to HK$219.8.
