[ET Net News Agency, 4 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$151.41 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.62 billion, or 14.94% of the
market's turnover. There were 781 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.83 billion and HK$1.78
billion, or 12.5% and 7.88% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 56.27% and 46.13% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.59 billion and HK$1.01 billion
of short sales, accounting for 7.03% and 4.45% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 9.04% and 7.38% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.11, or 2.06%, to HK$5.235. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.42,
or 1.52%, to HK$92.26. TENCENT fell HK$19.5, or 3.36% to HK$561.5. TRACKER FUND declined
by HK$0.06, or 0.22%, to HK$26.94.
