[ET Net News Agency, 17 April 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$238.04
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$49.09 billion, or 20.62% of the market's
turnover. There were 821 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.37 billion and HK$5.27
billion, or 12.97% and 10.74% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 43.6% and 59.42% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$4.98 billion and HK$1.72 billion of
short sales, accounting for 10.13% and 3.5% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 41.27% and 15.12% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.26, or 0.97%, to HK$26.44. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.058, or 1.16%, to HK$4.936. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.7, or 0.77% to HK$90.5. BABA-W jumped
HK$0.6, or 0.44%, to HK$136.4.
