[ET Net News Agency, 19 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$153.53
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.75 billion, or 18.72% of the market's
turnover. There were 798 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.79 billion and HK$2.96 billion, or
13.18% and 10.31% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 44.17% and 15.48% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.98 billion and HK$1.77 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.9% and 6.17% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.37% and 46.98% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.38, or 1.45%, to HK$25.9. TENCENT ended down HK$32.5, or
5.9%, to HK$518. XIAOMI-W rose HK$1.5, or 4.27% to HK$36.64. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.086, or 1.72%, to HK$4.914.
