The annual tea ceremony event, TEA ROUND 2026, co-organized by PMQ, Creative Square and TEA ROUND, and co-organized by Xingxin Tea House, will be back by popular demand at PMQ from January 30th to February 1st! This year's TEA ROUND theme is "Blending Flavors, Piecing Together Cultures." Tea artists and enthusiasts from different regions, generations, and schools of thought are invited to come together, exchange ideas, and blend together a fresh new face for Hong Kong's tea culture.
Creative Square is a place where Eastern and Western cultures meet and a landmark of Hong Kong's creative design. It has always been dedicated to providing opportunities for budding creative talents to realize their creative visions and gain business experience. This collaboration hopes to promote exchanges between new and old tea businesses, raise public awareness of tea culture, and promote the unique culture of Hong Kong's tea arts.
From traditional tea masters' carefully blended Pu'er and Tieguanyin to the iconic Hong Kong-style milk tea blend, the art of blending not only balances the bitterness, fragrance, and fullness of tea but also showcases the flexible, inclusive, innovative, and progressive spirit of Hong Kongers. The event will feature 50 popular local and overseas tea houses, food, and tea ware brands, as well as mobile tea carts serving Hong Kong-style milk tea, a Pu'er blending exhibition, flowing tea seats, Fucheng sealed tea, and a variety of tea appreciation activities. Whether you're a tea connoisseur or a novice, you're sure to find your "cup of tea" here!
The liveliest tea culture experience! Tea tasting, culinary delights, and Chinese New Year shopping all in one
Last year's TEA ROUND left a lasting impression on many tea enthusiasts. This year, the organizers have gone a step further, inviting 50 tea tasting, food, and tea ware brands to participate — the most in the event's history! During the event, the PMQ Ground Plaza will transform into the city's largest tea culture hotspot, offering a wide range of tea-related products, from tea leaf gift boxes and tea-based drinks to baked goods, ceramic tea ware, and lifestyle goods.
The event connects local traditional tea houses with new generation brands, creating a grand blend in the tea arts world! The 60-year-old "Ming Xiang Tea House" will present tea lovers with their unique charcoal-roasted Chaozhou Gongfu tea; the fourth-generation "Hua Tea House" will introduce a TEA ROUND-limited blend of Pu'er and fragrant tea leaves — a traditional blend commonly used in mahjong houses. This blend combines the smooth, mellow taste of Pu'er with the fragrant jasmine notes of fragrant tea leaves, bringing together aged and floral aromas. Meanwhile, BE MY TEA and "First Love" will respectively feature specialty matcha drinks from Guizhou, Japan; and Plantation, a tea shop, will offer Kombucha made from fine teas, boasting a unique flavor profile. Mobile tea carts will also be on-site, with tea masters from "Hong Kong Nostalgia (Xiangji Coffee)", "Jin Er Shao", and Chart Coffee demonstrating the art of making Hong Kong-style milk tea and offering free milk tea at designated times!

Experience tea styles from multiple regions in one go
While Hong Kong boasts a strong local tea scene, the overseas contingent is equally impressive. Notable mentions include tea merchants from Fuzhou, showcasing the craftsmanship of the Wu Yi Shan Intangible Cultural Heritage representative inheritor through their Da Hong Pao and Fuzhou jasmine tea; "Er Fang Studio" from Taitung and Nantou, whose owners are active competitors in tea arts competitions, will present a unique tea seat experience rooted in local culture; for those who enjoy a tipple, there's Tea Cocktails from Taipei's Astea bar; TeaFactoryGen from Hiroshima, Japan, cultivates their tea trees without the use of fertilizers or pesticides, focusing on natural farming methods. Their specialty is lightly roasted, high-quality baked tea, emphasizing the use of all five senses to determine the perfect roast, resulting in a clean fragrance, mild taste, and prominent sweetness. Lastly, HOYUMTEA from Israel presents a range of spiced and wild teas for those looking to broaden their tea horizons.
A plethora of exciting tea-related activities
Besides the opportunity to purchase premium teas, TEA ROUND also offers a range of exciting tea-related activities that tea enthusiasts look forward to every year! In line with the "blending" theme, those who favor Pu'er tea should not miss the Pu'er blending exhibition, Pu'er tea appreciation seats, and the "One-Day Pu'er Appraiser" experience, where you can learn about the relationship between Hong Kong's blending culture and history, decipher the "code" of numbers on tea cakes, and distinguish between raw and ripe Pu'er.
